Purpose of the Course

The aim of the course is to develop integrated skills of commercial correspondence in English, covering a large variety of communication formats applicable both at the national and international business environment. Enhancing clarity of expression and communicative efficiency are the major targets of the present course. The students shall be faced with ways of communicating in the electronic office, developing personal and in-company communication. They will be exposed to information regarding company portfolio and get trained in writing professional business letters. Techniques of making an enquiry, making an offer or placing an order are also part of the commercial correspondence in English course. Last but not least, dealing with customer relations in writing is reflected in modalities of how to make an appointment, reply to complaints, thank the customers or business partners, write letters of adjustment.
By the end of the course, students will be skilled in writing all types of commercial correspondance in English, in a professional way, in accordance with international standards in the global business environment.

Course Information

Primary sources: The course materials are provided upon enrollment . In addition to this, course participants shall be indicated a number of free online resources that may help them in further developing their communicative skills.
Requirements for completion:
In order to complete this course, students have to:
  • Work through each of the six chapter and their assigned materials. The presentation of the topics is made in an interactive modality and it covers vocabulary development, functions in written business communication, language structures and functions relevant for business situations, activities based on the language and content referred to in each topic.
  • Complete the assignment at the proper scheduled date is neccessary. Completing these assignments is compulsory.

Course Requirements

  • Have access to a computer
  • Have continuous broadband Internet access
  • Have the ability/permission to install plug-ins or software (e.g., Adobe Reader or Flash)
  • Have the ability to download and save files and documents to a computer
  • Have the ability to open Microsoft files and documents (.doc, .ppt, .xls, etc.)
  • Be competent in English.

Any Degree Holder.
  • Pursuing PG degree in any Streams.
  • A person having PG degree in any faculty.

Duration : Duration will be of 3 months.
